James Lee County Park

Henderson Beach State Park
The park is located at 17000 Emerald Coast Parkway just east of Destin. Restrooms, picnic tables and showers are available. Small fee to enter park. For more information, contact Henderson Beach State Park at (850) 837-7550.

Elgin Air Force Beach
West side of Destin Bridge, off U.S. 98 on Okaloosa Island. For more information, contact Public Affairs Office at Eglin Air Force Base at (850)882-2878, ext. 333

Meigs Park
Meigs Park has a boat ramp for small boats to access the Choctawhatchee Bay, as well as a sandy beach for sunbathing, swimming and fishing. Covered picnic tables and restrooms are also available. For more information, contact Emerald Coast Convention and Visitors Bureau at (850) 651-7131.

James Lee Park
James Lee Park is at the beach on the Walton/Okaloosa County line, 3510 Scenic Hwy 98, Destin. This park has 3 pavilions, 41 picnic tables, 9 dune walkovers, a playground, restrooms with changing rooms, and 166 parking spaces. John Beasley Wayside Park
Along U.S. 98 on Okaloosa Island, 1.25 miles east of Fort Walton Beach. Lifeguards, restrooms, picnic tables, showers and a visitor center are available. For more information, contact Emerald Coast Convention and Visitors Bureau at (850) 651-7131.

Brackin Wayside Park and Boardwalk
Along U.S. 98 on Okaloosa Island, one mile east of Fort Walton Beach. Concessions, lifeguards(seasonal), restrooms, picnic tables and showers are available. For more information, contact Emerald Coast Convention and Visitors Bureau at (850) 651-7131.

Newman C. Brackin Wayside Park (The Boardwalk)
This park is on Okaloosa Island adjacent to the fishing pier. It offers several pavilions, 41 picnic tables, restrooms with changing rooms, volleyball nets, a children’s playground, dune walkovers to the beach and lots of parking. Gulf Islands National Seashore -
Okaloosa Island is Fort Walton Beach's biggest attraction. Snow-white sandy beaches and clear emerald-green waters with over twenty-four miles of pristine beach. A favorite beach activity on the gulf side is watching dolphins play offshore. On the bay side of Gulf Islands National Seashore you can watch wind surfers riding the waves and floating gracefully through the air. Close by you'll find the Gulfarium, Emerald Coast Science Centre, Indian Temple Mound and Museum; and the U.S. Airforce Armament Museum.
